The main aim of this Association was to highlight and strengthen the cause of the Architectural profession and to bring to the public awareness regarding the Architect profession. It is hoped that L.A.A will become a common forum for expressing one self, with discussion & seminars over issues relevant to all of us. Various section of the Association memorandum cover many aspects to make the city of ludhiana a better place to live. Membership of the Association was open to all those who are qualified Architects and are registered with Council of Architecture (a statutury body constituted by Govt. of. india)
Ludhiana, one of the country's mega cities is taking the shape of a cosmopolitan center of education, home of ever expanding Industrial and Commercial consultancy service has a vital & dynamic role to improve matters by way of planning and various other concept for construction to provide much needed help to the public. Thus in the time to come the role of Architects is bound to be more relevant and indispensable.
Ludhiana Architects Association is also to inform that the maiden issue of its membership Directory is also ready and going to be launched on 23.5.2004. At a glittering function by Sh. S.K. Sharma Hon'ble commissioner of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation.
The directory contains detailed identical information about all the qualified Architects of the city registered with Council of Architecture & Ludhiana Architects Association. In addition to information about various construction material / products along with their availbility and its dealers.
It is also brought to the notice of the General public that under section 37(1) of the Architects Act 1972, No person other than registered Architect with the Council of Architecture or a firm of Architects shall use the title and style of architect and / hold office as an architect or carry out duties and functions of an architect. Any violation there of shall attract penal action as provided under section 37(2) of the architect Act,1972.
